# Sharing a workspace

> A workspace can be watched, or driven, by someone you invite. Each grant is per person and per workspace, and it is yours to revoke.

## Inviting someone

Press “Share” on a workspace in the terminal, enter the invitee's email, and send them the guest link. The link only names the workspace: access comes from the grant, so the person you invited signs in to reachpad, and the link does nothing in anyone else's hands.

## Viewer and editor

- A viewer watches the workspace live: the terminal, the tabs, the run as it happens.
- An editor can type: the same session, driven by either of you.

> Note: Grants default to viewer. Pick editor when you mean to hand over the keyboard.

An editor works inside your session, as you. That includes reading the files in your home directory and running the agents you are signed in to, which spends your Anthropic or OpenAI account rather than theirs. Pick editor for people you would hand your unlocked laptop to, and revoke the grant when the work is done.

## Revoking

Every grant you have made is listed in the terminal's sharing view and on your dashboard. Revoking one removes that person's access immediately, whatever their role. Workspaces other people shared with you appear on your dashboard as well.
